The Flora Conservancy of Lafayette Park

The Flora Conservancy of Lafayette Park is a partnership between The Flora Conservancy and The Lafayette Park Conservancy, two not-for-profit organizations. The partnership was formed to help accomplish the garden maintenance goals set forth in the Lafayette Park Master Plan.

If you enjoy gardening, the Flora Conservancy of Lafayette Park offers a wonderful opportunity to work with plants in a beautiful Victorian setting. Enjoy the company of other gardeners, share your gardening skills, and help fulfill the vision of the Lafayette Park Master Plan.

Flora Conservancy volunteers tend a wide variety of gardens throughout Lafayette Park including formal beds around Washington’s statue and at selected entrances, container plantings in urns, and cottage style gardens in the Grotto.

How to participate
No experience necessary! You can join the Flora Conservancy - or simply join the fun for a day or more.

Volunteers work in the park each Wednesday and Saturday morning from April through October. Details about special projects, targeted work days and current gardening and maintenance needs is available by calling the Flora Conservancy Hotline at 314-53FLORA (314-533-5672) or neighborhood contact Linda Weiner at 314-621-7071.
